Ksamil is one of the most popular spots on the Albanian Riviera and for good reason. The turquoise waters are studded almost artistically with pretty islands and it can all be admired from your perch on a comfortable beach chair at the waters edge.
Compared to other parts of the riviera Ksamil can be busy at times, but in my opinion it is well worth it to experience this beautiful destination. Ksamil is a perfect stop on a southern Albania road trip or as a destination on its own.

Searching For The Best Ksamil Hotel
There are a huge number of hotel options in Ksamil due to it’s growing popularity as a beach side holiday destination. After visiting Ksamil and getting to know the surroundings, it was clear that while there are many hotel options, not all are as they seem!
I have selected some of the best options in town so you can find the perfect Ksamil hotel for your budget and preferences.
There are many accommodation options along the main road of Ksamil and while some of these aren’t bad, there is quite a steep slope down to the beach and the road can be quite busy. For the most part I have selected each Ksamil hotel to ensure a great location close to the beach and other amenities.
I haven’t included prices as they will vary with the time of year so the categories are based on average prices and relative to the other options.
Budget Ksamil Hotel Options
My top pick for the budget traveller has to be Villa Klea; for the price it is an absolute cracker of a location, with less than 10min walk to the beach. The rooms are full of character and individually decorated, this is a nice change from the often very plain Albanian accommodations, they are also very spacious.
The rooms are fully equipped apartments which is perfect for the budget traveller looking to cook your own meals. There is free parking onsite for those of you who are road-tripping the country and the friendly English speaking hostess can recommend the best places to eat in on the nearby strip.
Another great budget option is Guesthouse Dollomaja Ksamil. You once again get free parking onsite and a shared kitchen to save those pennies at meal time. The furnishing is a little dated, but everything is very clean and you get air-conditioning, a fridge/kitchenette and a 5min walk to the best part of Ksamil beach! What more could you ask for? 🙂
Mid-Range Ksamil Hotel Options
The mid-range accommodation is where Albania really shines, the relative low prices compared to other European beach-side destinations means you can get some stunning accommodation for a rate that will keep you smiling!
Take for example the beautiful Hotel Mira Mare. This 4 star hotel has very modern rooms with tasteful and attractive decor. It is on the far side of town and has easy access to nearby beaches in just a couple minutes walk.
Rooms have a kitchenette and bathrooms are sparkling clean and modern. The balconies have amazing ocean views from where you can enjoy incredible sunsets with a cold bottle of bubbly. There is also free parking on site and you get all of this for the price of a dorm room in most European cities!
If you miss out on the above option then never fear because for an equally amazing price you can stay in the beautiful new Hotel Utopia. At the time of writing this 4 star hotel is newly built and they’ve done a lovely job.
The place is replete with wood paneling and the decor gives rooms a luxurious feeling. The sea view rooms are simply beautiful and have a balcony to enjoy the view from. This hotel is perfectly positioned for easy access to restaurants as well as beach bars.
I’ve thrown in a last bonus mid-range option for those of you who prefer to have a whole apartment to yourself over the hotel vibe. Apartaments Mario is located smack bang in the middle of the other two options so benefits from the same great access to beach and restaurants.
The apartments are clean and have very modern decor. Some of the rooms offer ocean views from the balcony and there is a barbecue for guests to use on site. They even offer the use of a washing machine for all those salty beach towels and bathers!
Luxury Ksamil Hotel Options
If you want to splash out and enjoy maximum comfort and prime position in Ksamil you can’t go past King Hotel Ksamil. This beautiful 4 star property couldn’t be any closer to the beachfront with stunning views from both the rooms and the spacious dining/bar terrace out the front. Imagine waking up and opening the curtain on a view like this.
The property offers room service and also puts on a buffet breakfast for guests. Rooms are spacious and modern with balconies overlooking one of the beautiful bays of Ksamil, from which you can sit and watch a spectacular sunset over the ocean. Parking is available for those with a car or for guests just visiting Ksamil they offer a shuttle service to make your journey smooth and simple.
The aptly named Hotel Luxury is a little further out on the quiet side of town but this shouldn’t put you off as they have everything on site that you could possibly need. For those of you who like a more quiet environment this is the perfect spot as it still allows you access to beaches and the town centre with only a short stroll.
The benefit of being a little further out is that this hotel sits uphill, giving both rooms and the terrace sweeping views of the whole of Ksamil’s coastline. This property offers all the same amenities and services as the previous one but with the added bonus of serving excellent coffee according to reviews, so all you coffee lovers take note.
I hope you’ve found the perfect property to suit your budget and travel style. I for one cannot wait to get back to Ksamil and experience more of what this area has to offer, I could easily spend weeks there!
