Ksamil is one of the most popular spots on the Albanian Riviera and for good reason. The turquoise waters are studded almost artistically with pretty islands and it can all be admired from your perch on a comfortable beach chair at the waters edge.

Compared to other parts of the riviera Ksamil can be very busy, but if you time your visit right you can experience these world class Albanian beaches without the crowds. Ksamil is a perfect stop on a southern Albania road trip or as a destination on its own.

I recently spent a lot of time in the south of Albania and became well acquainted with Saranda and Ksamil. With so many awesome hotels in Ksamil to choose from, I wrote this blog post to simplify your decision on where to stay. 

Searching For The Best Hotels in Ksamil, Albania

There are a huge number of hotels in Ksamil due to it’s growing popularity as a beach side holiday destination, with more hotels being built each year. After visiting Ksamil and getting to know the surroundings, it was clear that while there are many hotel options, not all are as they seem!

When it comes to finding the best location to stay in Ksamil, you can’t really go wrong. Ksamil is considered a village with all of the hotels and apartments within short walking distance to the beach.

I have selected some of the best accommodation options in town so you can browse the best hotels in Ksamil and select the right one for your budget and preferences.

There are many accommodation options along the main road of Ksamil and while some of these aren’t bad, there is quite a steep slope down to the beach and the road can be busy. For the most part I have selected each Ksamil hotel to ensure a great location close to the beach and other amenities.

I haven’t included prices as they will vary throughout the year so the categories are based on average prices and relative to the other options. Keep in mind that the most expensive time of year to book a hotel in Ksamil is during the summer months of June – August.

This coincides with the time of year when crowds are at capacity on the beaches. Aim to visit Ksamil during shoulder season (May or September) to avoid the masses and make the most of your holiday in Albania.

Vila Relax

My top pick for the budget traveller has to be Vila Relax; for the price it is an absolute cracker of a location, with less than a 10 min walk to the beach. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-equipped for a comfortable stay in Ksamil. The best part is the balcony where you can enjoy breakfast (included in your stay) with a stunning ocean view.

The self-contained apartment is perfectly suited for the budget traveller looking to cook their own meals. There is free parking onsite for those of you who are road-tripping the country and the friendly English speaking host can recommend the best places to dine at on the nearby strip.

Vila Renato Ksamil

Price: $

This highly-rated guesthouse in Ksamil is well-suited for every budget traveller, especially those who are traveling alone or in a couple as there is the option to book a small studio room. However all rooms are very clean and well-equipped with good Wi-Fi, a fridge and private bathroom.

Guesthouse Dollomaja Ksamil

Price: $

Another great budget option is Guesthouse Dollomaja Ksamil. Once again you get free parking onsite and a private kitchen to save those pennies at meal time. Each air-conditioned unit includes a fridge with a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom and some even have terraces with sea views. 

The furnishing is a little dated, but everything is very clean and it’s close to all the restaurants, shops and only a 5 min walk to the best part of Ksamil beach! What more could you ask for in a budget guesthouse in Ksamil?

Mid-Range Hotels in Ksamil

The mid-range hotels in Ksamil is where Albania really shines, the relative low prices compared to other European beach-side destinations means you can get some stunning accommodation for a rate that will keep you smiling!

Blue Eye Hotel

The popular Blue Eye Hotel is in a prime location right in the heart of Ksamil. Surrounded by restaurants and shops and less than a 10 minute walk to the main Ksamil beach, the location of this place is really hard to beat!

This beautiful 4 star hotel has modern rooms with tasteful decorations and a cosy vibe. It is on the far side of town and offers easy access to nearby beaches in just a couple minutes walk. The buffet breakfast that is laid out each morning has a huge variety of tasty things to fill up on.

Luxury Hotels in Ksamil

Hotel Luxury

The aptly named Hotel Luxury is a little further out on the quiet side of town but this shouldn’t put you off as they have everything on site that you could possibly need. For those of you who like a more quiet environment this is the perfect spot as it still allows you access to beaches and the town centre with only a short stroll.

The benefit of being a little further out is that this hotel sits uphill, giving both rooms and the terrace sweeping views of the whole of Ksamil’s coastline. This property offers amenities and services such as a restaurant, free private parking, a terrace, a bar and room service. The amazing breakfast included features plenty of options which is ideal to please everyone in your group.

If you want to splash out and enjoy maximum comfort and prime position in Ksamil you can’t go past King Hotel Ksamil. Hotel Meta Ksamil

A lovely modern hotel located steps from Ksamil Beach 9 offers an affordable option for those wanting to be based next to the beach. This hotel is just a short way down the road from the previously mentioned hotels which means the location is prime. 

Ventus Hotel offers affordable and well-equipped rooms with air-conditioning, balconies with sea views, free parking and a great breakfast included in your stay. This hotel does not have a swimming pool but that doesn’t matter when you’re so close to the gorgeous beach!
